The curriculum, of the school will move forward to develop the following strands:

AIM

The aims of the school are to:

Raise awareness and celebrate the cultural diversity throughout the world Bring the world into our school Foster tolerance and understanding To focus students’ minds on ‘big issues’ such as poverty, racism, saving the planet, child rights, empowerment of women. Foster contacts with the international world Produce students who are excited by the prospect of meeting people from other parts of the world, learning about other cultures and taking part in foreign exchange visits Change students’ perception, knowledge and understanding so that they become a citizen of the whole planet rather than of a single small village. The global dimension should be reflected in the attitudes and values of our students, the ethos of the school, the programs of study and key skills.

In order to achieve our aims we will:

Ensure that international dimension is embedded in the whole school curriculum Plan programs and lessons so that on a regular basis students have the opportunity to discuss, develop and engage with international issues Establish school exchanges Set up a Comenius Project to foster relations between kingdom of Saudi Arabia and extended embassies by sharing our values on Internationalism. Set up International events for example UN DAY Foster a positive attitude towards people from other countries and cultures. Work with a school in Malaysia in order to establish contact with and arrange exchange visits and connect global classroom learning Develop visits, contacts, events with Business partners Within our local community in Jeddah, KSA, conduct varied inter school programs , and celebrate learning across syllabi and varied curriculum (Example: Indian, American, British Curriculum) Help all subject areas within the school to benefit from International links and include International activities in their planning. Involve parents in celebratory events, exchanges, visits sharing their adult expertise and experience.

Outcomes

As a result of implementing this policy we would expect that our students
